Head Chef Greg Newman
Greg Newman is our Head Chef at The Kings Hotel and has previous worked at Bovey Castle and Mallory Court, both part of the Eden Hotel Collection.
Greg is responsible for heading up the 3 AA Rosette, Jackrabbit Restaurant at The Kings Hotel but enjoys all the extra things that are part of being a Head Chef at a hotel such as breakfast, afternoon tea, weddings which give the job a lot of variety.
Greg says about passion for cooking, “I love the creativity of it and the satisfaction of taking raw ingredients and turning them into something special that guests can enjoy. Every day is different and a chance to improve or refine what you are doing.”
“Fresh, seasonal, interesting and fun” is how Greg describes his cooking ethos and that is certainly evident in his signature dish 'Beetroot, Goats Cheese & Honeycomb'!
