Winter Breaks in the Cotswolds
Short breaks have gained in popularity as more people recognise the benefit of getting away for a mini holiday during the cold, dark winter. And what could be more inviting than escaping to The Kings in Chipping Campden in the very heart of the Cotswolds?
Full of charm
Widely recognised as one of the finest town house and restaurants in the region, The Kings is perfect for winter breaks – whether it’s for one night, a weekend or a few days.
The 13 individually designed bedrooms in the main house add a modern twist to traditional Cotswold style, whilst the 5 cottage rooms in the courtyard boast beautiful furnishings and lavish bathrooms. Whichever room you have, your stay will be comfortable, restful and memorable.
Guests on one of our winter breaks can choose to sample modern British food with a contemporary twist in our traditional beamed Restaurant or opt for the more informal setting of our stylishly refurbished Brasserie. Then round off the evening with a coffee or nightcap before heading to bed.
Suitably fuelled and energised, you’ll be ready to explore the ancient town of Chipping Campden – one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the UK with its High Street brimming with beautiful honey-coloured stone buildings. As the starting point for the famous Cotswold Way, the town is the perfect base for long winter walks into the surrounding countryside – both an area of outstanding natural beauty and a conservation area.
If you fancy venturing a bit further afield, it’s only a short drive to the historic towns of Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa and Warwick, and picturesque Cotswold market towns like Burford and Stow-in-the-Wold.
However you choose to spend your day on your winter break, you can be assured of a roaring log fire to welcome you on your return, along with suitable refreshments.
